Welcome to the Mary Sue PB Wiki Page.

Who And What Is Mary Sue

A Mary Sue is not strictly an original character or self-insertion, it's one that's usually written in a way that can put off readers, and many of these links will help define the difference between an original character in her own right, and a

Mary Sue.

Examples of Mary Sues:

Amadelia What makes her a Mary Sue in this profile is her relation to Cinderella, but since this was submitted for a Mary Sue movie rpg, she would've been no more of one than the movie characters had been. Take out the Cinderella connection and she'd be out of Mary Sue territory.

Amelia Boarder given the unlikely nickname of Mia Mya

Angelica Very horrifying sort of musician

Black Sylke a Gundam Mary Sue with hypnotic hips, lush curves, feline grace, black-blue shimmering hair, who causes every male in the room to compete for her attentions, and this includes especially the men who already have significant others. She is said to upstage all the other women present as well.

Jessica Sue a typically common and repulsive sort of Mary Sue with a huge crush on Severus Snape of all people, and writes him as reciprocating. Mr. Snape is not attractive or nice by any stretch, but there are things even he wouldn't do.

Julianna a D&D Mary Sue who's part phoenix, part elf, and who knows what else

Lavender Sue a child Mary Sue and a role player's nightmare.

Orianna a classic textbook Mary Sue. She was a little too much even for an rpg that was centered on a movie that was itself based on Mary Sue foundations.

Topanga A Mary Sue in Harry Potter fanfiction/role play.

Senna Marie Maxwell the Gundam Mary Sue who earned her infamy by throwing one of the longest running, attention-seeking, infantile tantrums against her fellow Mary Sues in the genre. The Mary Sue she hounded did some obviously unnerving things with the characters in her writing, but bad as that was, she didn't deserve to be out-marysued and literally stalked, bullied, flamed all to heck by Senna and her many crummy alter egos.

The Weakest Link the resulting story of a Senna Marie

Part 2, Senna's Unedoing good job on payback time!. "Unedoing" is spelled that way because Senna is a raving Lady Une fanatic as well as a Mary Sue in denial.

Vienna another angsty yet vain Mary Sue

player Liberated Describes Some Mary Sues

Player describes vampire Mary Sues Yes, they come in all manner of form, from fairy to vampire.

The wonderful adventures of the beautiful elf worshiping immortal and all powerful amazon of ritiousness

another demonstration of how to write a Mary Sue and how not to write a piece of fiction. Some suggestiveness.

Charli's Orianna Song a response from Charli to the elf Mary Sue satire above, and a song about Orianna Sue, quite probably the same Orianna featured earlier among the Mary Sue examples on this page.

From Erin To Sherrie

Many famous characters show Mary Sue traits to some degree. Usually established fictional characters from movies, books and the like aren't Mary Sues, but once in a while, it happens, and this doesn't count the super hero genre, they're supposed to be larger than life.

But what about inserting Mary Sue into a movie sequel via new introduced character? The result of one such travesty concerning an Anne of Green Gables movie was at least one fan's outrage.

Is it possible to Mary Sue a super hero genre? Yes - if in a SuperMan movie, the villain actually wins the day, or else some other made up character comes along and outshines SuperMan in his own story, that would do it. Fans don't necessarily appreciate this but it's not rare in the world ofRPG and fanficction writing.

How about whole famous book and movie series that turned out to be Mary Sue?

Yes, it happens.

Sorry about a couple of the video links not working, any additional ones I'll put in the "Links" section. I can't do anything else to modify the front page or the audio will disappear. So any and all new updates will be found either in the "Mary Sue Links" or on the pages concerning the Mary Sues listed here.

Please make new submissions/additions to the "Mary Sue Links" page to avoid edits to the front page causing the audio welcome to disappear. Thanks.

You can add new stuff to other pages on this site which don't load with an audio clip. For example, the Twilight and Harry Potter sections are open to additions/submitions of new material, and the Mary Sue Links is for anything Mary Sue related regardless of the genre or story.

The first link on the Mary Sue Links page is for a non-Mary Sue related site, but a great one if you need assistance solving those blasted visual captcha codes.
